Features

Student-oriented Applications encourage students to see and interpret the mathematics that occurs every day by using a wide variety of examples and exercises to connect the mathematical content with the real world.
Objective Boxes are at the beginning of each section. Objectives are keyed by letter to section subheadings; to the exercises in the exercise sets, Summary, and Review; and to the answers to the Chapter Test questions. This correlation enables students to easily find appropriate review material if they need help with a particular exercise or skill.
Diverse Exercises are a strength of all Bittinger texts.
