Description

MyEconLab is an online course management, testing, and tutorial resource. Instructors choose how much—or how little—time they want to spend setting up and using MyEconLab. View a demo of MyEconLab. For more information about MyEconLab CourseCompass™ or to request an Instructor Access Code visit MyEconLab.

MyEconLab in CourseCompass provides additional optional customization and communication tools. Instructors who teach distance-learning courses or very large lecture sections find the CourseCompass format useful because they can upload course documents and assignments, customize the order of chapters, and use communication features such as Digital Dropbox and Discussion Board.

The end-of-chapter questions are available for assignment in MyEconLab. In addition, students get two preloaded Sample Tests, a Study Plan, and tutorial help for each chapter—none of which require additional instructor setup. The online Gradebook records each student’s performance and time spent on the Sample Tests and Study Plan. Instructors can access the Gradebook at any time during the course and obtain reports by student or by chapter.

Instructors can assign Tests, Quizzes, and Homework in MyEconLab using five resources:
  • Preloaded Sample Tests
  • Study Plan questions
  • Test Bank questions
  • Self-authored questions using the Econ Exercise Builder
  • Problems similar to the end-of-chapter problems

These test resources provide ample material from which the instructor can create assignments. Tests use multiple-choice, graphing, and free response questions, and some questions are generated algorithmically so that they present differently each time they are worked. MyEconLab grades every problem, even those with graphs, and students get immediate feedback with links to additional learning tools.
