Chapter 1 The Investment Environment provides a new section on careers in investing.

Chapter 4 Risk and Return

Uses new and historical data information on housing prices to illustrate the risk/return link. At the end of the chapter, there is a case/exercise tied back to the opener.
Includes data in Table 4.4 from Triumph of the Optimists (updated to 2008) which includes a longer time series and allow comparisons across countries for more international coverage.
Incorporates real data from Exxon Mobil and Panera Bread and continue using those firms in chapter 5 when discussing portfolios. Exxon Mobil and Panera Bread were chosen because the two stocks (a) both had positive returns over the last 10 years, which many stocks do not have, and (b) they have a low correlation with each other, which makes the portfolio variance discussion more dramatic and more interesting.

Chapter 5 Modern Portfolio Concepts continues the incorporation of data from Exxon Mobil and Panera Bread in the discussion of risk and return performance of various portfolios.

Chapter 6 Common Stocksnow uses the S&P500 performance rather than Dow as a benchmark of the overall market in Table 6.1 along with a new section on the Real Estate Bubble.

Chapter 9 Technical Analysis, Market Efficiency, and Behavioral Finance has been revised to incorporate more on anomalies and behavioral finance.
