Description

For courses in Office Applications, Introduction to Information Systems, Introduction to Computers, and Brief Computer Concepts.

These sixteen labs are designed specifically to engage students in topics within the computer concepts curriculum that are difficult to understand. They demand interactivity on the part of the student to promote learning the material. They include an “Introduction” section, an “Explore” section, and a ten-question “Quiz” section for each Lab.

Features

Pop up Quiz Questions—Appear throughout the course of the lab.
- Keeps students on track and tests their understanding of the concept in the lab.

“FYIs” appear during the lab.
- Reminds the student of different approaches or alternate uses for specific material within the lab to broaden their understanding of the topic.

Career Areas—At the end of every lab.
- Give students a list of careers that relate to the lab so that students can easily see where the individual lab material is used in everyday life.

Each Lab runs approximately 20 minutes.
- Allows for students to get in-depth with the material, while not overly bogged down with details that might discourage their interest.
